Lambo has put out a statement and video showing that the 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Performante has set the new lap record for a production car at the Nurburgring with a time of 6:52:01. That’s 5 seconds. Yea FIVE SECONDS faster than the previous record holder, the Porsche 918 Spyder. Watch the video above to have your mind blown.

The 2018 Hurican Performante uses its 5.2 liter v-10 to push out 631 horsepower at 8000 rpm with 443 lb-ft of torque at 65oo rpm. That’s almost 30 horsepower and 30 lb-ft of torque more than their previous iteration of the Hurican. More than 70 percent of its torque is available at 1000 rpm, which meant Lambo has to work on their seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to be able to handle the additional workload. Lamborghini states that the Performante can do 0 to 62mph in 2.9 seconds with most observers stating that those numbers are very conservative.

So if you have an extra $300,000 laying around then the Lamborghini Hurican Performante may just be the thrill your life’s been missing.
